I joined Friends of the House to build community and surround myself with people who inspire and challenge me. But my connection to Ronald McDonald House Charities goes much deeper—I’ve been passionate about their mission since I was a kid.
From ages 10 to 18, I collected pop tabs with the dream of breaking the world record. While I didn’t quite make it, I did collect over 232 pounds, which I recycled for cash and proudly donated to RMHC. That early experience taught me the value of small, consistent efforts adding up to meaningful impact—something I carry with me in the work I do today.
Volunteering with this group has been a full-circle moment, allowing me to give back in new ways while continuing to support families when they need it most.
Strategy & Impact
I designed a content calendar focused on three pillars: education, engagement, and community. From mission driven trivia to member highlights, each piece of content aims to connect followers more deeply with our cause and encourage participation.
Trivia Tuesdays – This initiative educates and builds awareness in a light, engaging way.
Member Spotlights – These shoutouts humanize the group, celebrate volunteers, and inspire others to get involved.
Event Promotion – Tailor content before, during, and after events to drive turnout and engagement.
Cook Nights & Volunteer Events – These posts show impact and help attract new volunteers.

Engagement
Between March 31 and April 29, I shared 28 pieces of content that helped drive a 7.3K increase in views, 208 additional interactions, and 19 new followers.

Followers
Since taking over content in January 2025, we’ve grown from 794 to 821 followers—a growth of +3.4% in 4 months.
PopTab Collection
I collected 234 pounds of tabs, raising $126.36—and thanks to a bonus from Wichita Iron and Metal, the final donation totaled $131.04 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This project taught me that even the smallest things—like a pop tab—can make a big difference when people come together. I’m so proud to have turned this childhood goal into real impact for families in need.
